What the site is

Filing Haystack shows the state fees to form and keep a business in all 50 states and DC, and links each fee to the official source. It is general information. It is not legal, tax or accounting advice, and it does not create any professional relationship with you.

Check before you file

States change their fees and rules, sometimes with little notice. We work to keep every figure current, but a figure here can be out of date or wrong. Always confirm the fee and the deadline with the linked state office before you file or pay. Where we could not confirm a fee, the page says "Not confirmed" and leaves it out of the totals.

Not affiliated with any government

Filing Haystack is not a government site and is not connected to any state, county or city office. We cannot file anything for you, and every page is free.

Links to other sites

Pages link to official offices and may link to filing or registered agent services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, prices or service. We may earn a commission when you use a service we link to. That never changes the state fees we show.

Using the content

You are welcome to use what you find here for your own business, and to link to any page. Please do not copy the site or its data in bulk, or scrape it in a way that slows it down for others.
